Essential information for authors submitting manuscripts
Instructions for Authors
The Editorial Team of the Journal of Studies in Science and Mathematics Education (JOSSME) encourages authors to review and adhere strictly to the following guidelines, including formatting and citation requirements. The editors reserve the right to return a manuscript that does not adhere to the guidelines to the authors.
- Manuscripts submitted to the JOSSME should be original and empirical, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Manuscripts should be written in English and should be single-spaced, Times New Roman, and the font should be 12 (strictly follow the manuscript template).
- Manuscripts should be structured in a clear and logical manner, with an introduction, method, results, and discussion sections.
- All manuscripts should include a title page that includes the title of the paper, the names of the authors, and their affiliations. The title page should contain a valid email address of the corresponding author.
- Full length manuscripts should be between 5000-8000 words in length, including references and appendices.
- All manuscripts should include an abstract of no more than 200 words that summarizes the main points of the paper.
- Manuscripts should be formatted according to the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) style.
- All manuscripts should include a list of references, with citations made in the text using the APA style.
- All manuscripts will under rigorous double-blind peer-review process by at least two peer reviewers, and revisions may be required before publication.
- The journal reserves the right to reject a manuscript that does not meet these guidelines or is not suitable for publication.
- The journal also reserves the right to edit the manuscript for style, grammar, and clarity before publication.
- Manuscripts should be submitted via the Online submission menu of the journal.
- The journal reserves the right to charge authors a fee for the publication of their manuscript.
- Any manuscript submitted to the journal must be free of plagiarism.
- Authors must disclose any funding sources or conflicts of interest related to the research presented in their manuscript.
- The journal is open to publishing articles from all countries and encourages submissions from underrepresented groups.
